Nikki is a level 3 Hatha teacher, she also holds qualifications in Menopause Yoga, Yin and Yoga Nidra.

Her approach to teaching yoga is to create an inclusive practice where everyone is welcome to come and work at a level that feels comfortable for their body.

We will begin with a yin yoga practice allowing your body to melt into a series of yin postures releasing tension in the connective tissues, leading on to a yoga nidra practice.

Within the yin section we will focus on clearing the liver and gallbladder meridians (energy lines), in Traditional Chinese Medicine it’s believed these meridians relate to spring and clearing energy blockages is spring cleaning from within! 

Yoga Nidra induces a deep & conscious relaxation, allowing the mind to flow effortlessly between dreaming & wakefulness. Also known as Yogic Sleep, this practice embodies a dance between the subconscious & conscious mind.

Leave feeling, relaxed and refreshed with harmony restored!

⁣A mat, bolster (although you may prefer to bring your own bolster if you have one) and blocks will be provided. A small pillow, your favorite blanket and perhaps an eye pillow are suggested to bring from home as these will provide a deeper relaxation for this practice. ⁣

Summer Yin & Nidra Workshop

A nourishing mini retreat aligned to the season of Summer, a time of year with more daylight, sunshine and warmth.

Where ever your energy is at this workshop will help bring you back into balance in body, mind and spirit.

According to traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), the season of summer is associated with the element of Fire and the organs of the heart and small intestine.

So we will begin by easing into yin postures  tailored to the heart and small intestine meridians (energy lines).

Winter Rest

Winter is the most yin of all the seasons. The shorter days and more hours of darkness help you to honour your body’s natural desire to seek greater rest, reflection and restoration.

Winter in Chinese medicine is the Kidney season associated with the kidney organs and bladder, connected to relieving fatigue, managing stress, fear and anxiety.

When our kidney Qi is low, our inner vitality can be depleted. Think of your kidneys like the battery of a car, if you don’t charge them they lose their potency so come along to slow down rest and recharge with this wonderful afternoon/evening of relaxation. 

We will begin with restorative yin postures followed by Winter rest themed Yoga Nidra.

Yoga Nidra induces a deep & conscious relaxation, allowing the mind to flow effortlessly between dreaming & wakefulness. Also known as Yogic Sleep, this practice embodies a dance between the subconscious & conscious mind.

Leave rested with your inner reserves replenished for the winter ahead.
